Why Reinvent the Wheel? Leveraging ERP Best Practices for Your Industry
Your total cost of implementation and ownership is reduced because we know which ERP solutions are aimed at which industries. Plus, we can use development, reporting and configuration sets we’ve used in the past. That is not to say we follow some sort of ‘boilerplate’ approach; it’s just that there are certain parts of ERP technology that are designed to be re-purposed.
So, it’s not just the intelligent, efficient way for ERP partners to do things, it’s the way we’re supposed to do things. There’s no point re-inventing the wheel, after all.

Should I choose agile or waterfall ERP implementation methodologies?
There are multiple implementation methodologies that can be used to implement an ERP solution. More details about the implementation structure and methodology can be found on the Leverage Technologies website.
What does it cost to implement an ERP solution?
ERP solutions can be implemented for relatively small businesses or large multinationals. The team at Leverage Technologies had been involved in 3,000-day implementations and 3-day implementations (and everything in-between). We think the real question should be – “How do I scope an ERP implementation to ensure that I get an accurate assessment of the days to implement? Most smaller ERP solutions take 10-20 days to implement. Mid-range solutions take 20-50 days, and high-end/tier 1 ERP starts at 100 days and goes up from there.
Does my business need an ERP solution?
How do you know when your business is ready for an ERP solution or needs to replace an existing, possibly outdated solution? ERP solutions should be implemented to save time, improve customer service, give better, more accurate reporting to help with decision making and to help streamline business processes. If your current systems don’t achieve these objectives, then it is probably time to investigate alternative solutions.
Why is project management important when implementing an ERP solution?
Project management keeps the project on track, makes sure sufficient testing is done prior to go live and opens up communication between users, implementation teams and project sponsors/management. It is important that both the implementation team and the customer have a project management skill set available.
